Hailing from Switzerland, Wild Water brings you the raw power of 70s heavy rock with fierce double lead guitars and loads of wah-wah effects. The perfect fix for fans of Leaf Hound, Orang-Utan, Capt. Beyond, Blues Creation, or the legendary Black Sabbath. Imagine Sabbath and Zeppelin jamming together at the crossroads!
Wild Water was founded in 1990 by Christian Güller and Patrick Hennig in Oberkulm, Switzerland. The two school friends had already been jamming together and had their first practice room around 1985 in Teufenthal in an old house in the basement. The band didn't have a name yet, and numerous people would come by to jam.
After moving the practice room to Suhr, JC joined on drums. During this time, the name Wild Water was created. Rough, hard, wild like their music. They stayed there for 10 years and recorded five DLPs from 1995-1999. However, only two copies per LP were made. One for Christian and one for Patrick. As they are crazy record collectors, they wanted to have an LP of their own band between Free and Ten Years After.
Due to YouTube posts of their tracks, numerous requests for LPs came in. So in 2022, they decided on a first release as a private press of Mess Of Rock. Now they have found a label with Clostridium Records, which is releasing the second official LP Restrict Life. They hope many more LPs will follow.
All tracks were recorded live and analog on an 8-track reel-to-reel recorder in the practice room. For some tracks, an additional lead guitar was also recorded.
200 copies on coloured vinyl, only 100 on black vinyl. All copies in gatefold sleeve and numbered.
