Sublunar Express is a Montreal based power trio formed in 2017 by Denis Dufour, Emmanuel Heis and Daniel Paras. Blending genres such as krautrock, stoner, and atmospheric rock, reuniting broad influences: an always moving psychedelic locomotive. In the shadow of an eclipse, violent tides lay waste to a city once intact. An exodus can be seen in the distance, guided by a tiding of magpies. Amongst the ruins, only the chained figure remains, forsaken by choice or fate.
"Peeling the Horizon" sonically explores an apocalyptic landscape, and its lyrical themes deal with the loss of faith, sanity, and the hope that we might all harbour within ourselves during moments of uncertainty. Does this hope reveal new truths, or does it repeat a new cycle of folly? What lies behind the horizon?
