Formed in San Diego in 2012, Sacri Monti has transcended genres and sonic expectations to create a sound so unique, their name has become synonymous with invention. July 2024 saw the official release of their third studio album, Retrieval. The first single and album opener "Maelstrom" hit like a whirling 70s prog rock opus, recalling the chugging riff/organ fuelled majesty of Machine Head-era Deep Purple, alongside the Space Ritual vibes of Hawkwind. There's no question that Sacri Monti has upped their game on this one and we highly advise you to do the same.
“Sacri Monti, the dudes channel Seventies underground rock, psych and krautrock and deliver a heady, shreddy, riff-tastic performance” – GUITAR WORLD
“When a band such as Sacri Monti fires up the amps and let the riffs fly, it’s a hell of a ride” – SAN DIEGO CITYBEAT
"If you like the idea of Hawkwind and Deep Purple jamming together, San Diego prog rockers Sacri Monti showcase the sort of dirty chugging riffs, twin-lead solos and organ howls that'll have you wondering if this isn’t some sort of lost deep cut from 1973. In a good way." – CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE ·
"Get out those bell bottoms and pack that bong, because it's time for the new Sacri Monti record Retrieval!" – METAL INJECTION ·
"Retrieval feels like a definitive work" – THE OBELISK
Second LP pressing on garnet red vinyl.
