Originally released in 2000, The Ritual captures Nightstalker in a raw, transitional phase — looser, dirtier, and more instinct-driven than a full-length, yet already fully locked into their identity. Across 27 minutes, the band stretch heavy psych atmospheres over thick, fuzz-soaked riffs, with a pulse that leans as much into punk urgency as it does into stoner groove.

There’s a certain late-night intensity running through this EP. The production feels close and unvarnished, amplifying the weight of the guitars and the restless drive of the rhythm section. Even the cover of Iron Horse (Born to Lose) by Motörhead doesn’t feel like a detour — it slots naturally into the band’s gritty, riff-heavy, slightly tripped-out aesthetic.

This 2026 repress is available on black and coloured vinyl and as digipak CD edition. A compact but essential document of the band’s early heavy psych force, now finally back in fresh physical form.
