Beschreibung

Emerging once again from Sydney’s underground rock circuit, The Neptune Power Federation return with Mondo Tomorrow, a record that continues their strange blend of vintage hard rock, heavy psych and theatrical storytelling. Driven by the commanding presence of vocalist Screaming Loz Sutch — known within the band’s mythos as the “Imperial Priestess” — the album moves between gritty rock riffs, psychedelic flourishes and the kind of larger-than-life atmosphere that has defined the band’s work for over a decade.

On Mondo Tomorrow, the narrative shifts toward a retro-futurist vision, exploring themes of technology and control while maintaining the band’s unmistakable classic rock foundation. Tracks like the title song, “Mind Controller” and “Cybernetic Times” combine straightforward hard rock grooves with cosmic overtones, while the guitars deliver hook-driven riffs rooted firmly in the traditions of late-70s heavy rock. Recorded at the band’s own Pet Food Factory studio in Sydney and mixed by Lachlan Mitchell, the album continues the band’s ongoing exploration of psychedelic rock spectacle and vintage-inspired heaviness.
