Beschreibung

Delirium is the debut full-length from Lightning Swells Forever, a Japanese heavy psych record driven by thick fuzz guitar work, vintage hard rock energy and a strong proto-metal undercurrent. Across nine tracks, the band combine raw amplifier distortion with direct songwriting and an unmistakably underground atmosphere rooted in classic heavy rock traditions.

Rather than drifting into extended improvisation, the album keeps its focus on memorable riffs, sharp groove and powerful guitar-driven momentum. Tracks like “Caldron” and “Green Tide” bring in touches of desert rock, while songs such as “Queen”, “Dream Of The Lead Sun” and “WR Blues” highlight the band’s melodic side without losing the dirt and weight running through the record.

Reviewers have compared the album’s spirit to the early energy of Blue Cheer and the darker edge of vintage proto-metal, while also pointing toward connections with fellow Japanese underground heavy rockers Hebi Katana. Throughout the album, Lightning Swells Forever balance heavy psychedelic rock, old-school hard rock and fuzz-heavy underground grit in a way that feels natural rather than nostalgic.

222 copies on coloured vinyl, 111 on black. Comes with card, sticker and download code.
