Description

Khemmis return with their self-titled fifth full-length, following Deceiver (2021) and marking a new phase in the band’s evolution.

Built on their established foundation of doom-driven heaviness, the album expands its scope with clearer integration of traditional heavy metal, alongside sharper edges drawn from death and black metal. The result is a more dynamic and immediate record, without losing the weight and density that define the band’s core sound.

Across eight tracks, Khemmis balance melody and force with a tighter, more deliberate approach. Fuzz-heavy low end, dual guitar harmonies, and a strong sense of structure shape a record that leans less on atmosphere alone and more on controlled, forward-moving songwriting.

There is a noticeable shift toward clarity and confidence throughout — a band refining its identity rather than reshaping it, while allowing a broader range of influences to surface within a cohesive framework.
