Beschreibung

Kanaan’s fourth studio album combines heavy stoner rock with psychedelic jazz influences. The Norwegian instrumental trio builds its sound around enormous guitar riffs and thunderous grooves, while retaining the jazz-oriented, psychedelic and improvisational elements of its earlier work.

Inspired by bands such as Colour Haze, Hawkwind, Elder, Motorpsycho and Acid Mothers Temple, Earthbound moves between heavy riff-driven passages, mellow sections and unexpected turns. Recorded at Athletic Sound in Halden, Norway, the album marks a significant step forward in heaviness and psychedelic intensity.

Originally released in 2021, Earthbound features eight instrumental tracks.
