HIDAS are an instrumental trio from Munich who trace their roots to doom metal but refuse to stay confined within its borders. Formed in early 2023, the group — Flo Bätz on guitar, Christoph Mühlbauer on drums, and Richard Noyn on bass — carry years of shared musical history, having played together in different constellations long before founding this project. That long-standing connection is palpable: their sound moves as one body, tight, focused, and unmistakably seasoned.

What sets HIDAS apart is the way they approach the supposed “gap” left by the absence of vocals. Instead of filling space with excess, they shape it — using thoughtful songwriting to turn instrumental storytelling into their greatest strength.
