Brazilian stoner rock band Gods & Punks release their sixth studio album, A Shrine By The Sea. Conceived as an ode to the sea, the record features two extended tracks: “The Lighthouse” (Side A) and “Poseidon” (Side B), each running over 21 minutes.
It showcases the band’s signature mix of heavy riffs, psychedelic passages, and progressive structures. “The Lighthouse” shifts between atmospheric sections, slow doom, and Sabbath-inspired riffs, with guest vocals by Andrea Ruocco. “Poseidon” takes a more fluid, psychedelic approach, gradually building intensity while maintaining a deep sense of space.
Written and arranged remotely, the album was recorded across multiple locations in Brazil and Europe, then mixed and mastered by Andre Leal and Kleber Mariano at Studio Jukebox, continuing their collaboration after Death. Since their debut Into the Dunes of Doom, the band has gained recognition in the heavy underground, including appearances on Doomcharts. With this release, they further refine their long-form songwriting into a focused and immersive listening experience.
