Dynamics, diverse sounds, and plenty of oomph: That's the thing of Niels Hoffmann, Alex Fedorov, and Johannes Rosswog. They've already released two albums, and now, with ENERGIE, their third release, follows.
EINSEINSENS are as modern as they are traditionally rooted. Their sound interprets Krautrock as well as elements of punk and art rock. The band from Berlin and Würzburg, which seems to carry much of the past in its genes, nails it with ENERGIE.
We're thinking of Trans Am, for example: those glamorous rock riffs, those vocoder voices, those vintage keyboard sounds. Some of it sounds like Kraftwerk, others like Can, Neu!, Hawkwind, Stereolab, or the synth pop of the eighties. Add to that the complex, shifting structures of free jazz music and a bit of punk, like the kind Black Flag or Hüsker Dü once did. A congenial, diverse album.
