Mexico’s Demons My Friends blend alternative rock, grunge atmosphere and doom-leaning heaviness into a dense, introspective sound. The power trio — Lu Salinas (bass/vocals), Tarro Martinez (drums) and Pablo Anton (guitar/vocals) — works with downtuned guitar riffs, driving rhythm sections and melodic vocal lines that move between tension and restraint.
Survive / Yourself (2026) presents eight tracks rooted in the darker side of ’90s alternative rock, while adding a slower, heavier edge and occasional experimental touches. The opening track “The Theory of Change” sets the tone with a balance of weight, atmosphere and reflective mood.
The band first came together during an impromptu recording session at SXSW in Austin in 2022. Their earlier album Demons Seem to Gather was produced and mixed by Jeff Henson (Duel, Spirit Adrift, Clutch) and mastered by Alberto de Icaza, and the trio has appeared as tour support for artists including Bruce Dickinson and Graveyard.
